Shoot-out drama sees Brookfield Primary School through to take basketball league title

BOYS from Brookfield Primary School were crowned court kings after winning the Camden Schools Sports Association Basketball League.
The triumphant team returned home to their school in Chester Road, Highgate, with the winners’ trophy after beating Gospel Oak by just a single point at the Talacre Community Sports Centre in Kentish Town.
Brookfield booked their place in the play-offs following a nail-biting free-shot shoot-out against Primrose Hill Primary School after extra time had failed to separate the two teams.
Despite losing in the boys’ final, there was still plenty for Gospel Oak youngsters to cheer. The girls’ team from the school, which is based in Mansfield Road, beat St Aloysius to lift the coveted shield.
