WITH so much choice, the market may appear oversaturated but new companies continue to press their claims for shelf space.
One such company is Wiltshire based Lake House Table who have introduced a range of ready to cook meals, sourced from top quality British produce that takes 10 minutes to cook and serve. What makes them so different? Lake House Table is “passionate about great food” and has set itself the target of being “better than any ready meal” How? By starting with exceptional ingredients such as free- range Norfolk Chicken or grass-fed Scottish Beef and adding (with the help of an inspired chef) an amazing fresh sauce which is not altered with heat treatments or preservatives to stay fresh longer.
To top it off they add a tray of say Colcannon mash with their Peppered beef dish or baby potatoes and courgettes with the Chicken and cream sauce dish. How convenient is that? Everything is prepared by hand in small batches to ensure each dish reaches their high standard but more importantly, get to your plate just as it should. Aimed squarely at busy professionals who don’t have the time to prepare food but want more than a 'bung in the oven' or 'microwave’ offering. Convenience but no compromise on quality At the moment these Kitchen Suppers are only available through selected Waitrose stores.
Lake House Table are also offering the chance for someone to have the Ultimate Kitchen Supper cooked in their home by a top chef who has worked in several Michelin starred restaurants. The winner of the competition will have a “special menu” meal for six served in their home after creating the menu with the chef, and Lake House promises that “it will taste amazing”.
One thing we need to make time for in our busy lives is food. Even Ferris Bueller took a moment to have dinner.
