A NURSE has been struck off for stealing powerful prescription painkillers from University College Hospital.
Ewan Alexander, who had been a staff nurse at University College London Hospital for more than 20 years, was investigated in February 2009 after discrepancies in the times medication was given to patients were discovered.
After the observation revealed that medication including Tramadol was missing without authorisation, Mr Alexander, from Tottenham, admitted taking it away.
He was struck off by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) on September 8.
