POOCHES were on parade in Parliament Hill Fields on Sunday as an annual charity show returned to raise money for homeless dogs.
Families flocked to Hampstead Heath for The Mayhew Animal Home in London Sponsored Walk and Dog Show, which returned for its fourth year.
Celebrity friends of The Mayhew, including actor Peter Egan, TV vet Marc Abraham and Daily Star columnist Joe Mott, showed their support as they turned out to judge fun categories, such as the waggiest tail. The show finished with a special parade of dogs looking for new homes, before owners set off from the bandstand for a walk around the Heath,
Mr Egan, who lives in Hampstead, said: “The biggest smile and the waggiest tail? That’s my kind of dog show.”
Mr Abraham added: “As a massive fan of The Mayhew it gives me great pleasure once again to help judge their annual dog show on picturesque Hampstead Heath and meet such a variety of dogs with their loving owners.”
