N109 Bus attack victim in critical condition

DETECTIVES were called to University College London Hospital in the early hours of Saturday after a man suffering severe head injuries went into critical condition.

The 38-year-old had been found in Regent Street, near the junction of Great Marlborough Street, at 3am.

He had left the Loop Bar in Dering Street and had got on the N109 bus where it is believed he was attacked.

Detective Sergeant Bruce Mascall, who is leading the investigation said: “Our victim has suffered serious head injuries which are considered life-threatening. What we would also like is to hear from any witnesses who were in or around the Regent Street area between 2am and 3am Saturday. 

“Were you on the N109 bus? Or at the bus stop? Did you see or hear anything? If you think you did please contact the police.”
