LEADING figures in the community will be attending an Open Day at the North London Central Mosque – formerly Finsbury Park Mosque – in St Thomas’s Road, Finsbury Park, on Sunday from 10am-5pm.

There will be various activities along with food and entertainment.

More than 1,500 worshippers come each day to the mosque, which was built in 1988 and has four large prayer halls and a wedding and conference hall. The mosque is also involved in the London Inter-faith forum and its  offices are used for surgeries held by Islington North MP Jeremy Corbyn, council leader Cllr Catherine West, and the police community advice group.
