Duo are arrested after man, 25, is stabbed on Hampstead Heath

THE scorching weather over the weekend was marred by outbreaks of violence on Hampstead Heath.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of assault after a 25-year-old was stabbed during a mass brawl near the Lido on Gordon House Road on Sunday.

Police found the man with stab wounds at around 6pm following reports of a group fighting. 

He was airlifted to a central London hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Police cordoned off the road near Gospel Oak station while they carried out enquiries. 

Two 19-year-olds were subsequently arrested.
