A YOUNG father was found hanging from a tall tree in a Camden Town public park on Tuesday morning.

The man, in his mid-20s, was pronounced dead in St Martin's Gardens around 8.30am.

On Wednesday, flowers had been laid at the foot of the trunk and a message read: “Sleep now – there is nothing more to fear.” Families in the nearby caravan park said they were in shock.

A towel was wrapped around the man’s head by firemen at around 8.30. But it was not until 10.30am that he was taken down from the tree and a crowd had formed.
