P Diddy dab hand with brush at Toffee Park Adventure Playground

P Diddy brushing up on his painting skills

HE’S one of the world’s biggest stars, but even rappers like P Diddy need to get their hands dirty occasionally.

The hip-hop superstar, whose real name is Sean Combs, dropped in on Toffee Park Adventure Playground in Ironmonger Row, Finsbury, on Monday to the shock of volunteers who were working there to earn tickets for an exclusive Wembley show on Tuesday under the Orange RockCorps scheme.

The scheme treats young people to performances by their favourite artists in return for community work. Also on the Wembley bill were Kelis and Primal Scream.

A group of young people working with Spectrum Creative London at EC1 Music Project were invited to meet the musician and music mogul.

The volunteers were helping to maintain the playground, as well as painting murals and building an “urban beach”. Formerly known as Puff Daddy, the rapper pitched in by helping with a bit of painting.
