Free microchipping for your pet

MISSING animals in Islington can now be reunited with their owners as the result of a new free microchipping scheme.

Pet dogs will get a tiny chip with the same size as a grain of rice inserted under its skin through the scheme launched by Islington Council’s Animal Welfare service.

Each chip carries a unique code with the owner’s information so pet dogs that are stolen or missing can be traced. Residents should contact the council to book an appointment.
