CAMPAIGNERS fighting to save a children’s day centre protested at Council House in Marylebone on Wednesday night.
As a council meeting got underway inside, 30 parents and children who attend the Portman Children’s Centre in Marylebone demonstrated on the steps outside.
City Hall is proposing to cut £100,000 from the centre’s budget.
A petition launched by Westminster Labour councillors warned the cut would “do serious damage to vulnerable children and their families”.
