Our Style Is Legendary by Daniel Hoffmann-Gill - Hard-hitting Drama born out of playwright’s tragedy

A NEW drama based on the tragic death of a West End playwright’s friend has begun rehearsals at a Covent Garden playhouse.

Our Style Is Legendary by Daniel Hoffmann-Gill is a hard-hitting new drama inspired by the death of his close friend Michael, who passed away after a heroin overdose in 1992.

Based on real events in the run down area of Nottingham where Hoffmann-Gill grew up in the 1980s, it will open at the Tristan Bates Theatre in Tower Street, Covent Garden, early next month. The play, which includes 1980s pop music from Ice Cube and Ice-T, stars Emmerdale’s James Hooton and as ex-Hollyoaks actor Kent  Riley.
