A MAN was left fighting for his life after allegedly being knocked unconscious in a fight in Kilburn.

The victim, in his mid 40's, was discovered in the early hours of Friday morning beside the entrance to the Brondesbury Medical Centre in Kilburn High Road.

He was rushed to a west London Hospital suffering from severe head injuries and his condition is described as “critical”.

The entrance to the centre remained cordoned off throughout Friday afternoon, while forensics officers examined the scene. They took photographs of a pair of trainers and a sports bag that had been left by the gates.

A Met Police spokesman said: “We understand the victim had been involved in an altercation with a male suspect."
