22-metre-long mural unveiled at Toffee Park Youth Club in Ironmonger Row

A GIANT 22-metre-long mural showing the facinating history of Finsbury was unveiled exclusively for the Tribune this week. 

More than 50 young people have been involved in painting the project at Toffee Park Youth Club in Ironmonger Row, supervised by community artist Belle Benfield.

Funded by government regeneration body EC1 New Deal, the mural shows a series of historical scenes, with information provided by Alex Smith from Islington Museum. 

The wall will be officially unveiled by Islington’s Mayor Mouna Hamitouche on Wednesday, March 16, at 6pm. The EC1 Wellbeing Project was also involved in the scheme.
