St Pancras Community Centre’s director Ruth Roberts dead at 57

Published: 23 September, 2010

RUTH Roberts, the director of the St Pancras Community Centre, has died suddenly aged 57.

Ms Roberts, who steered the centre for 16 years after becoming its first director, died last Thursday, just weeks after learning she had an inoperable brain tumour.

Frances Eley, who chairs St Pancras Community Association, said: “She will be irreplaceable. The work she did was so much that it is impossible to quantify it.”

Her funeral will be at St Pancras Church in Euston Road on Monday at 11am. It will be followed by a reception at the community centre in Camden Street at noon.

See next week’s New Journal for a full obituary.
