90 year-old man dies in hospital after Finchley Road car collision

A 90 year old man has died in hospital six days after being injured in a collision with a car in Swiss Cottage, police have confirmed. Charles Duff lost his fight for life at the Royal Free Hospital on Wednesday. He was taken there on Thursday August 26 at around 9.30am after being hit by a Honda Accord as he walked close to Finchley Road at the junction of Broadhurst Gardens and his home street of Greencroft Gardens. An inquest was opened and adjourned at St Pancras Coroner's Court yesterday. Investigators are appealing for witnesses to the collision to contact police.
