A RAPPER who “gloried” in gun culture has begun an 11-year jail term for a shooting spree in Wood Green on February 28. Aron Thomas, 23, wanted to take revenge on the area because a relative had been abused there, the Old Bailey heard.

Screaming “F*** Wood Green”, Thomas, of Georges Road, Holloway, pulled a fully loaded 9mm pistol from his waistband and began firing at random, said prosecutor Adrian Darbishire.

“Many people were in the line of fire and they ran for their lives or dived for cover,” he added.

Lloyd Wisdom, who was shopping in the area during the attack, suffered a bullet wound to the leg and later underwent surgery.

Thomas – who performed under the name Vipex and whose lyrics include “your lungs get punctured quick, I leave you slumped and stiff” – admitted having a firearm to endanger life and causing grievous injury.
