COUNCILLORS and commuters learned about cycling safely from “bike doctors” during a free event at Paddington Station on Wednesday.

The event was organised by Safer Transport Command (STC) to promote safety and raise awareness about crime.

Cyclists were offered free services including MOTs and puncture repairs. A large CW Refuse Truck was also parked outside the event to show members of the public the hazards of cycling near the front and sides of the vehicle. The STC also took the opportunity to hand out leaflets about crime prevention.
