THREE lengthy Old Bailey trials are to take place in the new year following the savage death of a schoolboy at Victoria tube station.

Sofyen Belamouadden, 15, from Acton, was allegedly targeted for a gang attack during the evening rush hour on March 25.

Dozens of shocked travellers looked on as he was reportedly punched, kicked and stabbed several times and collapsed in the ticket hall.

Twenty suspects, including one girl, were arrested. They appeared in batches before the Recorder of London, Judge Peter Beaumont, who fixed dates of the forthcoming trials to begin on January 4, April 11 and June 13.

Fourteen accused teenagers deny murder. Six have yet to enter pleas. All are from south London and aged between 15 and 18.

In the first trial eight will be in the dock for a case estimated to last up to three months
