Chindamo in custody

THE killer of Philip Lawrence, the headteacher who was murdered in 1995 at St George’s Roman Catholic School in Maida Vale, is being recalled to prison.

Learco Chindamo, now 30, who was freed in July, was arrested on Wednesday in south London and held in custody in connection with an alleged cashpoint robbery in Camden.

Father-of-four Mr Lawrence, 48, was stabbed by Chindamo after going to the aid of a pupil who was being set upon by a gang outside the school gates.
