A FRENCH student was attacked with stiletto heels and had part of his ear bitten off after objecting to two women putting their shoes on a kebab shop table where he was having a meal.

Detectives are hunting two women and a man in their early 20s who assaulted the student at Shish Kebab restaurant in Seven Sisters Road, Holloway, in the early hours of March 13.

Just before 4am, the 27-year-old victim, who lives in France, became involved in an argument with the women, who put their shoes on the table where he was sitting.

One went outside to make a call and minutes later a man burst into the restaurant, made straight for the victim and bit part of his ear off. He then punched him in the face. The women joined in the assault, beating him with their stiletto heels.

A friend of the victim jumped in and pulled the attackers away.

The victim was taken to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, where he underwent surgery to repair the damage to his ear.

Police are looking for a 5ft 8in tall man, aged about 20, with cropped blond hair. He was wearing white tracksuit bottoms and a cream-coloured top.

One woman was 5ft 5in, aged about 22, with collar-length brown hair. She was barefoot and was wearing a black dress and holding a pair of black high-heel shoes. The second woman, aged about 23 and 5ft 7in tall, was also wearing a black dress and holding shoes in her hand.

Trainee detective constable Marcus Johnson, the investigating officer, said: “This was a vicious, unwarranted assault. I am appealing to the public to look at the images and see if they can identify any of the suspects so they can be brought to justice.”

Anyone with information can call Islington CID on 020 7421 0185 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
