THREE youngsters   have been given the job of getting the “youth voice” heard in proposals to regenerate Church Street.

Fiona Toumazou and Youssef Chahine, both 22, and Farah Hassan, 19, have been made special ambassadors to work with designers and youngsters in the area ahead of plans due to be launched at the end of the year.

Mr Chahine, a student at Paddington Academy said he hoped to put Church Street on the map. “I want to promote young people’s ideas and make sure they are incorporated into the Church Street project. One of many parts of London that has the potential to be great, the Church Street area is not as famous or as well known as it could be.”

Councillor housing chief Philippa Roe said: “We hope their enthusiasm and commitment will encourage many people their age to get involved as this is a programme that will benefit generations to come.”
