Islington's Best Blooming Business - entries by Friday May 28

ENTRIES for Islington’s Best Blooming Business need to be in by Friday May 28.

There are two business categories:  Best Blooming Pub, Bar or Restaurant frontage, and Best Blooming Business, for displays of plants visible to the public on the premises of a business. 

There are also discretionary awards for the most wildlife-friendly and most sustainable entry in each category. 

Every entry in the competition will receive a free bag of compost, a half-price plant and a £5 voucher courtesy of Camden Garden centre.

Entries in Islington also contribute towards the borough’s success at the prestigious London in Bloom and Britain in Bloom awards. 

Islington came first and received a Gold Awards at London in Bloom for the past two years, and was named overall Best London in Bloom Entry 2009. 

Islington also represents London and the South East at Britain in Bloom and won Silver Gilt in 2009.
