JESSIE WRIGHT: Post mortem results in murder investigation

JESSIE Wright, the 16 year old girl found dead in King's Cross on Thursday, died from injuries to her neck.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: The post-mortem held yesterday Friday 5 March at St Pancras Mortuary gave the cause of death as compression of the neck. An open mind is being kept as regards a motive."

Jessie, who lived on the Bemerton Estate and was a former pupil at Maria Fidelis Secondary School, was last seen on Wednesday. She was discovered dead by council workmen in a yard in Outram Place near the disused York Road railway station. Police are appealing for information relating to the 24 hours leading up to her death.
