• ARE US “soccer” fans throwing big stones at the England team ahead of this Saturday’s World Cup clash? I spotted this TV sports channel poster in Philadelphia during my recent trip to the States. The eye-catching illustration shows cavemen incarnations of England’s Lampard, Rooney and Gerrard pulling up a monolithic symbol of the 1966 triumph.
