Hospital lobby – Fears over Whittington

CAMPAIGNERS are lobbying the Department of Health today (Thursday) with a warning to Health Secretary Andrew Lansley they will unleash a second wave of protests if he does not keep his pre-election promise to “save” the Whittington Hospital.

The Defend the Whitington Hospital Coalition believe hospitals in the North Central London region are at risk, and say essential departments such as accident and emergency could be axed when health bosses present findings of their review to doctors in September.
