A SCHOOL playground in Kentish Town was transformed into a bustling international garden festival on Friday.
Parents, teachers and pupils from St Dominic’s primary in Southampton Road enjoyed tombola and gift stalls as well as a bouncy castle, manicures and street dance. Parents ran a barbecue as well as food stalls with international cuisine and a stylist from next door Palushi’s gents’ hairdressers gave free cuts. The event raised £2,350, which will go towards new equipment for the school playground.
Karen Murphy, St Dominic’s learning mentor, said: “We’ve raised money that can be put towards lasting things for the school.”
