SYNCHRONISED swimmers will help launch the new-look Prince of Wales Baths in theatrical style – and you could be there to see their unique and spectacular performance.
British Olympians Olivia Allison and Asha Randall will be at the refurbished pool in Kentish Town on Saturday, July 24.
Their two performances of “Sync or Swim”, a show inspired by what the baths in Prince of Wales Road would have been like when it first opened in 1901, will be set to live classical music and feature human water fountains.
Viewers can watch the action from the sidelines in the Willes pool – or actually in the water.
The audience also get a tour of the building, which has been given a breathtaking £25million refit. There are limited spaces – so be quick to register by emailing arts.tourism@camden.gov.uk
for a free ticket. Entries must be in before July 16. In-pool tickets are only suitable for over-16s and swimmers need to be at least 1.3 metres tall. The show is only open to over-14s.
Leisure chief Councillor Tulip Siddiq said: “I am happy to open Kentish Town Baths on time and on cost. I am delighted that local people will be able to enjoy the high-quality leisure facilities in the Baths.”
