Armed raid at Haverstock Hill branch of William Hill
A BETTING shop manager had a knife held to his throat in the second armed raid in Belsize Park in two weeks.
Two suspects wearing bandanas and hoodies struck at the William Hill bookmakers in Haverstock Hill on Tuesday night, just before 9.30pm,
A 25-year-old manager was left with bruising and a cut above his eye.
The bookmakers is opposite Starbucks coffee shop which was robbed earlier this month.
Police, who are appealing for information, described the William Hill raiders as a dark-skinned European male and a black male. Sgt Ian Gilks, of the Belsize Safer Neighbourhoods team, appealed to businesses and residents who fear they may be targeted to contact his team.
However he added: “People haven’t brought their concerns to us and we are out on the streets every day.”
