Saurav Ghai wall death plea

Published: 25 February 2010

CAMDEN Council has pleaded not guilty to a health and safety charge relating to the death of two-year-old Saurav Ghai, the toddler who died when a wall fell on top of him during storms in January 2008. A case brought by the Health and Safety Executive will now be heard at Southwark Crown Court. Saurav, who lived in Belsize Park, was crushed when a perimeter wall on the Wendling Estate in Southampton Road collapsed as he walked past with his childminder.
