ARSENAL players lived up to club motto “Be a Gooner, be a giver” when they handed out gifts to sick children and donated nearly £200,000 to a hostel for the  homeless.

Bacary Sagna, Kieran Gibbs, Jack Wilshere,  Abou Diaby, Alex Song and Tomas Rosicky visited  Archway’s Whittington Hospital to deliver presents and sign photos for children.

Meanwhile, the club announced that its charity match day against Fulham – when players donated a day’s wages – raised £189,000 for Centrepoint hostel for homeless young people.

Theo Walcott and Gael Clichy visited the hostel in Soho to make the announcement.
