A MAN has denied robbing a woman as she walked home from work.

Zack Sackett, 19, was charged with robbery when he appeared at Blackfriars Crown Court on Friday via videolink from Feltham Young Offenders Institution.

Prosecutor Jonathan Mole said Mr Sackett, from Outram Place off York Way, was charged with robbing a woman as she walked home from work at 2.30am in Rendell’s Road, off York Way, on February 25.

Police discovered the victim’s handbag and some of its contents when they searched his home on March 6.

Judge Blacksell ordered that the trial be adjourned.

Zack Sackett is due to stand trial at the Old Bailey in November charged with the murder of Jessie Wright, 16, in March.
