CHILDREN from the St John’s Wood adventure playground and Salusbury World Refugee Centre were given a tour around a synagogue as part of a scheme to teach youngsters about different faiths.
Rabbi Ivan Binstock, from St John’s Wood synagogue, welcomed the youngsters, showing them Torah scrolls and the ram’s horn, known as a shofar, as well as answering questions about the Jewish faith.
Fatima Shouble, a play worker from Salusbury World, said: “It was a great experience for me and the children. We met the Rabbi and learnt about Judaism. The children really enjoyed visiting the synagogue.”
