Investigation as woman’s leg broken in three places following collision with police car

AN investigation has been launched after a young woman’s leg was broken in three places during a collision with a police car near Piccadilly Circus. 
The 27-year-old was hit by the marked vehicle as she walked in a bus lane around 1pm on Wednesday, July 21.
The woman was taken to St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington for surgery but has since been released.
The case is now being investigated by the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC), which is appealing for witnesses.
