The Xtra Diary - Step outside… it’s gone beyond a joke

It might have started out as an April Fool, but the Guardian’s “Step Outside Posh Boy” slogan has caught on among Westminster’s Labour Party members.
Councillor Barrie Taylor proudly sported his “posh boy” T-shirt while out canvassing in Queen’s Park with his MP wife Karen Buck and the foreign secretary David Miliband this week.
Mr Miliband politely turned down the opportunity to slip it over his suit. Apparently he is “saving it for a dinner party”.
Diary wonders whether the lucky guest could be Westminster School-educated Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg, given the “vote Clegg get (David) Cameron message” from party HQ.
Anyone lucky enough to get into the city council election count on May 7 could see a few more – apparently all current councillors and candidates have got one!
