Riddle of Richard Hannen’s last hours

POLICE believe the body of a 45-year-old man found dead in Mornington Crescent last month was moved to the area after he died. Detectives are not treating the death of Richard Hannen, known as Ricky, as suspicious, but they have appealed for help in tracing his final movements by releasing a photograph of him.

A post-mortem examination carried out last month was inconclusive and police are still awaiting the results to further tests to ascertain how Mr Hannen, who lived in Forest Road in Hackney, died. They hope that by releasing his picture, it may jog people’s memory and help them piece together the final days of his life. He was found dead at 7.30am by passers-by on March 10.
