Interest growing in Highgate Horticultural Society’s shows

MEMBERS of the Highgate Horticultural Society are hoping for a blooming good summer after inviting budding gardeners to sign up for their next show. 

Organisers have set their sights on making their July event, which will be held at the United Reformed Church in Highgate, one of their biggest turnouts after last month’s spring show.

Chairman Alan Dallman, who won a number of prizes at the spring show, said: “Now is the perfect time to start preparing for the summer, and we’d be delighted to get even more gardeners involved. 

“The spring show was very successful. There are a lot of keen newcomers catching me up, which is good for the society.”
