No leading by example

NOT once do I recall the budget cuts affecting the elected.

Take Labour, for instance, a party who broke its own manifesto promises to the people of the borough.

Funny how they criticised the past joint administration for selling the family silver, the social housing stock.

It’s ironic to continue the very same practice to the detriment of the electorate. 

It appears the Labour administration sell anything if it is not secured to the ground, unlike the past administration who were open and transparent about the sell-offs, the recent budget cuts was the greatest travesty of all times, sitting high in their plush seats in the Town Hall they readily agreed to the cuts to services.

Their answer was staff redundancies, reduced services, cuts to funding, social care, meals on wheels etcetera. Yet councillors fail to lead by example and reduce their own budget.
