Well done to Paul Jeal

• WE would like to congratulate Parliament Hill Lido’s head lifeguard Paul Jeal for his imagination in spotting the coming heatwave and working tirelessly to extend the Lido opening hours last week.

It was great to see so many adult swimmers taking advantage during the day, and hundreds, maybe even thousands of children and teenagers flocking to the pool over the weekend.

We particularly liked the huge cheer that went up on Sunday afternoon when Paul announced an “extended extension” to 4.30pm.

Inspired.

And well done to the Heath management for their flexibility in allowing it.
