Wedding day smiles

• WE are a small group of happy-go-lucky pensioners who held a royal wedding party at our sheltered accommodation in Highbury on Friday.

We had two gazebo tents and a large screen TV so that up to 60 people could watch the happy couple, William and Kate, make their vows. There was bunting everywhere, flags and lots of tables and chairs for guests and friends. We had music and dancing and mouthwatering food. 

There was face painting for the children and everyone got a Kate and William calendar. Nothing was left out to make it a really special day.

I would like to thank Graham Vine, Maurice Tarrant and Dot Gibson, among others, who made the day so thoroughly enjoyable. There were smiles all round.
