Take two stations out of their mothballs

Published: 12 May, 2011

• OF course reopening Kentish Town South tube station would make very good sense and it would certainly cost less than rebuilding Camden Town tube station (Is ‘ghost’ tube station set to reopen? May 5).

It would also make sense to reopen the disused Primrose Hill station (which was closed in 1992) and introduce a service from Camden Road via South Hampstead (Swiss Cottage) and Kilburn High Road, thus providing an alternative to one of the most overcrowded sections of the 31 bus route.

Unfortunately Network Rail and London Underground lack the imagination to make better use of existing infrastructure.
