Square deal

• THANK you for the article highlighting our battle to keep the money promised for our square (Square pleads: Give back cash promised for facelift, May 12).

We’d like to clarify, however, that the sum meant for our square was £15,000, not £30,000 as you state. The nearby St George’s Gardens will receive the other £15,000, and rightly so. We’d also like to thank Councillor Sue Vincent, as Camden’s environment chief, for taking this up with officers for us. We hope that the council is as good as its word and that “the majority” of the £30,000 is spent in Regent Square and 

St George’s Gardens.
