So proud of our estate

• THROUGH the Tribune, can I, on behalf of residents of Popham 1 estate flats at the Angel, thank Harley Sherlock for visiting our estate.

Harley was the architect who designed Popham 1, and I understand it was as much a joy for him to design as it is for our residents to live here.

We are a great low-rise community and people do enjoy living here. 

What a pity that the utility firms working on behalf of Homes for Islington are intent on disfiguring our estate by trailing wires and cables across walls and walkways.

Harley pointed out that originally these wires and cables were buried beneath the ground or within walls so they were not an eyesore.
