School places should come before party politics
Published: 5 May, 2011
• WE, the Free School Campaign Group, are pleased to hear we now have the support of our local Conservative councillors.
As reported in the spring 2011 Camden Matters newsletter recently delivered to local residents, they agree school places should come before party politics: “Labour’s plan for a new 60 pupil/year primary school in West Hampstead won’t solve the shortage of places in Belsize Park. Conservatives support efforts to set up a free school in Belsize Park. We urge Camden Council to work with the Belsize parents to find a suitable site.”
We also have encouraging support from the community with over 800 signatures on our petition so far. Visit www.belsizepark primary.org or find paper copies in Budgens across from Belsize Park tube station and other retailers.
