Promises, promises

• THE local elections outside London have delivered an important message
The Tory-led government, backed by their junior partners-in-crime, are forcing through right-wing policies they never told us about, policies that people did not vote for in the general election.
And what is worse, they’ve broken the promises they did make.
• David Cameron promised: “We will guarantee that health spending increases in real terms, in each year of the parliament.”
• David Cameron promised: “We will stop the top-down reorganisations of the NHS that have got in the way of patient care.”
• David Cameron promised: “I will protect front-line services.”
David Cameron must keep his promises to “protect the NHS”.
We must insist that he:
• Protects front-line NHS services.
• Stops precious NHS money being wasted on a big top-down reorganisation which is putting the NHS at risk.
• Provides the real increase he promised in NHS funding.
People want the Tories to change their direction.
• Halt this top-down NHS reorganisation.
• Produce a Plan B on growth and jobs.
• Address the cost-of-living crisis.
• Protect the police so they can protect you.
• Support the next generation.
Only Labour offers an alternative to this Tory-led government which will listen to people’s concerns.
