With nowhere to park, will we still be welcome at Talacre sports centre?

Published: 26th May, 2011

• IF the planned Talacre development is built there is nowhere nearby for someone to drop off or collect children if they’re travelling by car.

One of the websites opposing the development also states that (rightly) Camden decrees that any child under the age of eight years (or 14 for the holiday courses) must be accompanied in and out of the sports centre by an adult. The nearest pay-and-display bays are 150 yards away (or 300 yards when the park is closed, at dusk).

Those of us who travel from boroughs which sorely lack such an excellent amenity will find it very difficult to reach classes which start soon after school closes in the afternoon. This will also presumably result in a considerable loss of revenue. Is the out of borough user is still welcome at the centre?
