Fantastic mayor

• JONATHAN Simpson deserves a huge cheer for being a fantastic mayor over the past year and making the borough so high profile.

It’s a great shame he has to pass on the bling to another councillor as I doubt anyone will be able to match the creativity he has brought to the role.

What surprises me and my friends is that the Labour Party in Camden seems unable to recognise and reward people for their hard work and talents.

Camden needs the best people at leading the borough, not to have people promoted because of ideology.
