What happened to the Liberals?

Eton, founded to educate poor scholars, now churns out persons of influence, such as cabinet ministers – none of whose children lack a decent standard of living. Yet, the majority attend schools whose facilities and buildings are a disgrace.

Westminster Council wants to pass a law that forbids rough sleepers from being given bread and soup. Do they really think that anyone compos mentis chooses to sleep in the streets during winter? Who knows, some of the sleepers may be victims of RBS’s sacking of 21,000 workers.

For weeks the news has been full of events in the Middle East and north Africa. Dictators are being ousted. TV news may manage to mention the “cuts” in the UK amid the mayhem. 

The government is the target – not councillors. Direct anger at ministers. Do not give them an easy ride. Finally, whatever happened to the Liberal Party?
