Thanks for reuniting me with my bus pass
Published: 3 March, 2011
• LOSING a bus pass is always a nerve-racking experience, even more so when the wallet that it is in contains other important cards.
I would really like to thank the couple who found mine on the floor of a number 46 bus on which I had been travelling on Monday February 14.
As it happens the wallet also contained some other cards that had my address as well as a couple of head and shoulders photographs, so they were able – and took the trouble – to trace me and return the wallet intact.
On such occasions, one gets worked up into an almost panic state of mind so I really am not sure whether, at that time, I offered them sufficient thanks.
If, by any chance, they happen to read this letter, then I really want them to know how grateful am.
