Ridiculous

• IN response to last week’s report about  cycling on a No Cycling path… what will I hear next?

A fine of £330 is ridiculous.

Having known Eddison Joseph for over 20 years I know he had no intention of going out of his way to run down children, pensioners or joggers.

Yes it was silly but don’t treat him as you would a criminal.

What I want to know is where are the police when the real danger is happening, that is, when the cyclists jump the traffic lights. It’s like they are immune to red traffic lights. They should remember when the other side goes green cars just pull away not expecting to see a cyclist coming across a red light. I see it all the time these cyclists are going to cause serious accidents.

So come, all police, get down to the traffic lights and fine the dangerous ones and leave the Heath to people like Eddison Joseph, who has been riding on the Heath well before No-Cycle paths were put there and have always had enough common sense not to cause accidents
